The ultrasonic automatic flaw detection equipment for spiral welded pipes adopts the ultrasonic beam-type water film method for flaw detection. It is suitable for detecting spiral weld seams of pipes with diameters ranging from 300 to 2500 mm and wall thicknesses ranging from 8 to 16 mm. Through the linear slide rail and probe tracking system, the detection probe moves linearly relative to the upper weld seam of the pipe. By utilizing the reflection and attenuation mechanism of ultrasonic waves, it can detect surface and near-surface defects such as false welding, incomplete penetration, internal and external penetration injuries, cracks, fissures, folding, inclusions, and pits in spiral welded pipes.
The ultrasonic automatic flaw detection equipment combines computer control with real-time signal acquisition and processing technology. Using a multi-channel digital flaw detector under the support of a high-speed computer, it realizes automatic detection of defects, automatic evaluation of defects, display and recording of defect echo amplitudes, printing and storage of detection data, and automatic generation of detection reports in the required format.
