Overview
This ultrasonic pipe testing equipment conducts flaw detection using offline method. Through the linear slide rail and probe tracking system, the detection probe moves in a straight line relative to the upper weld of the steel pipe, completing the flaw detection of the weld and the entire pipe body.
Description of Ultrasonic Testing Process
The inspected spiral steel pipes are lifted onto the rotating platform by the crane.
First, the weld seam is adjusted to the 12 o'clock position, then the testing frame moves.
After adjusting the weld seam detection probe to the weld seam position and lowering it, the rotating roller track and the testing frame move simultaneously to form a spiral scanning to conduct high-precision flaw detection on the steel pipe weld seam.
The pipe body testing frame senses the steel pipe through the sensor switch and then the pipe body testing probe falls down to conduct flaw detection on the pipe body. Depending on whether there are defects in the steel pipe, corresponding control signals are given.
At the same time, real-time marking, storage, and printing of the flaw detection report can be achieved, and the flaw detection results can be statistically analyzed and statistical reports can be generated according to requirements.
After the flaw detection is completed, the rotating roller track falls down and is lifted to the already inspected area by the crane. The electrical control of the equipment is controlled by PLC, which has high reliability and can realize the entire process of automatic flaw detection. It can also be operated manually and calibrated with standard samples.
All transportation, detection, and alarm are controlled by PLC in real time.
