Submerged Arc Welding Wire (SAW wire) is mainly used for welding steel. It is continuously fed from a reel and welded under the cover of a layer of granular flux. It has the characteristics of high melting point and stable performance, and is usually used for welding heavy and thick-walled steel structures.

Welding Flux is a material that make the weld seam stronger and cleaner. It can protect the weld seam from the influence of substances such as oxygen and moisture in the air, which will weaken the weld seam.

Welding Flux also can maintain the stability of the welding process and remove dirt or impurities from the metal.

These welding materials are mainly for critical large steel structure and pipeline projects across the region, providing reliable, high-quality welding solutions of the Middle East's energy and infrastructure.

Regarding this shipment, is our H08MnA grade submerged arc welding wire, a carbon-manganese grade widely recognized for its versatility and reliability in welding carbon steels and low-alloy high-strength steels. This order includes three main specifications-Φ3.2mm, Φ4.0mm, and Φ4.8mm-carefully selected to accommodate varying wall thicknesses and welding parameters required for pipeline and structural steel fabrication.

Manufactured in strict accordance with GB/T 5293 standards and verified against AWS A5.17 specifications, the wire is produced from premium low-carbon manganese steel with precisely controlled chemical composition, including manganese levels between 0.80% and 1.10%, alongside low silicon, phosphorus, and sulfur content to minimize impurities and defects. The copper-coated surface ensures excellent electrical conductivity, smooth wire feeding, and stable arc behavior during high-current welding operations, reducing spatter and enhancing weld bead formation. With tensile strength ranging from 480 to 600 MPa and elongation of over 22%, the deposited metal exhibits exceptional ductility and toughness, meeting the mechanical property requirements for critical applications such as pressure vessels, bridge components, and long-distance pipelines.

Complementing the welding wire is our SJ101 welding flux, a fluorine-alkaline type flux with an alkalinity of approximately 1.8, renowned for its superior performance in both single-pass and multi-pass submerged arc welding. The flux is formulated with carefully balanced oxides and fluorides, delivering stable arc burning, excellent slag detachability, and smooth, defect-free weld surfaces even at high travel speeds. Its uniform particle size distribution (10–60 mesh) ensures consistent coverage and protection of the weld pool, preventing oxidation and nitrogen absorption while refining the weld microstructure to enhance low-temperature toughness. When paired with H08MnA wire, SJ101 flux forms a synergistic metallurgical system that produces welds with high strength, good crack resistance, and excellent resistance to porosity, making it ideal for the thick-plate welding and multi-layer applications common in large infrastructure projects. The flux's compatibility with both AC and DC welding power sources further adds to its flexibility, allowing operators to adapt to different equipment configurations without compromising performance.

Consider the environmental and temperature of the Middle East-including high temperatures, high humidity, and prolonged storage conditions-we implemented specialized packaging solutions to protect the products throughout the supply chain. Each coil of welding wire is packaged in 250kg moisture-proof bags, sealed to prevent oxidation and moisture absorption, while the sintered flux is supplied in 25kg hermetically sealed bags to maintain its chemical stability. All units are then palletized and secured with weather-resistant wrapping, ensuring the materials arrive at the customer's facility in optimal condition, ready for immediate use without the need for additional drying or pre-treatment. Every shipment goods have chemical composition report, mechanical performance test reports, ISO 9001, etc.

Why are welding wire and fluxe used in the steel structure industry?

Welding wires and Welding fluxe are indispensable core welding materials in the manufacturing and construction of steel structures, playing a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction.

As the main connection medium for steel structures, qualified matching welding materials can ensure that the weld seam has the same mechanical strength, toughness and stability as the base material. They can effectively prevent common welding defects such as pores, inclusions and cracks, firmly connecting steel beams, steel columns and steel plates, thereby ensuring the overall load-bearing capacity and structural stability of buildings, bridges and industrial facilities.

At the same time, high-quality welding wires and fluxes have stable welding performance, are easy to slag removal and have less spatter, significantly improving the efficiency of automatic welding, reducing post-welding processing procedures and shortening the production cycle. They can also significantly enhance the weather resistance, corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance of the weld seam, enabling steel structures to adapt to various harsh outdoor environments and extend their overall service life.

Furthermore, standard welding materials facilitate the smooth passage of various professional inspections and quality acceptance for steel structure projects. In summary, reliable welding wires and fluxes are the fundamental guarantee for the safe, efficient and long-lasting construction of all types of steel structure projects.
